Wrestling with God

On Wednesday, I wrote about how Jacob persisted in his wrestling with the angel of the Lord — and was blessed for it.

I haven’t been able to get that story out of my head.

Jacob wrestled with the angel through hunger, pain, tiredness. He persisted through the doubt and fears. He didn’t give up even after the angel wrenched his hip and damaged the way he walked for life.

Nothing was getting in the way of Jacob getting blessed.

It’s a convicting story — mostly because there are some blessings I stopped wrestling over.

The process was too difficult. The doubt too great. The pain too much to bear.
So I settled for something less.

After reading this story again, I’ve committed to being persistent — to wrestling with God no matter how difficult it gets until He either blesses me or kills me.

Here are just a few of the things I’m wrestling for:

Ignite

Financial

Life Goals

Those are just a few of the things I’m believing God for. There are more — they are just too personal to share.

Question: What one thing have you stopped believing God about and need to start wrestling with him again?
