I’m a dreamer.

I believe in the importance of having your dreams always in front of you. I even created a dream wall in my office so I can see the dreams and vision for my life at a glance.

It’s great, but I never took the next step for that dream wall: writing down the goals I have to accomplish those dreams.

So much for taking my own advice.

I was reminded of the need to write my goals down after reading this post by Justin Wise. I figured I should do the same.

So I downloaded and fired up the Pomodoro app (another tip I got from Justin’s post), set it for 25 minutes (and went another 5 minutes over), and began writing down all the goals I have for my life – both long-term and short-term.

Here are my top 67 life goals (to be improved upon as I step into new seasons of life) in no particular order:

  1. Get married and start a family
  2. Write a book
  3. Fly in at least business class for 75% of my international flights
  4. Start an Ignite group in Czech
  5. Move to Europe
  6. Learn the Czech language
  7. Learn German
  8. Learn Russian
  9. Fully finance the drilling of at least 2 wells in third world countries (roughly $30,000)
  10. Start a ministry training school in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East
  11. Start a branch of Ignite in Romania, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Russia
  12. Expand Ignite USA to at least 50 colleges
  13. Be able to license and ordain people into ministry
  14. Get licensed and ordained into ministry
  15. Produce an online course of some sort
  16. Develop a leadership coaching network
  17. Be self employed
  18. Bring in $20,000 a month in income
  19. Fully finance college funds for my future kids
  20. Start a college scholarship fund for Christian students who are passionate about transforming a college campus
  21. Purchase office space for Ignite
  22. Start a weekly podcast
  23. Develop high quality video teachings for Ignite
  24. Plant churches throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa
  25. Fully fund at least 2 missionaries
  26. Give a car away
  27. Give a house away
  28. Buy a 5 bedroom home with a huge kitchen, large back yard, finished basement with game room, with an apartment space off the garage to help house someone in need.
  29. Get out of debt completely (including mortgage)
  30. Pay cash for a brand new car
  31. Fly first class at least once on an international trip
  32. Empower 10 churches to reach their college campuses
  33. Speak at least two times a month, paid
  34. Work out 3 times a week
  35. Own a home in another country
  36. Hire 10 full time employees for Ignite
  37. Hire a maid and pay her double what she’s worth
  38. Plant a church in another country
  39. Build an outbuilding on my property for social events
  40. Purchase a building for Ignite that can be used as office space as well as a drinking-alternative social venue for college students / space for business-incubation / life skills and ministry training – in the States and in Europe

  51. Hike up to Macchu Picchu
  52. Have ministry plants in at least 50 different countries
  53. Camp out under the stars

  65. Generate multiple sources of revenue so I am not tied to one job as my means of support
  66. Find a mentor in ministry and in business
  67. Own at least 10 rental properties near college campuses

Like Justin, I didn’t share every goal I wrote down. Some of them you just don’t need to know about.

What’s one goal you can start today to bring you closer to your dream?
